Full description

This is a experience in Sapa. It is run by Hmong House Sapa, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

The price covers Red Dao guide, Scenic trek through rice terraces and bamboo forests, Visit to a mountain waterfall, Visit to Hoang Lien National Park and lunch at a Red Dao village. It does not cover Transportation to and from Sapa, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Hmong House Sapa sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Hmong House Sapa before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

We had a wonderful day with Nay our guide. She showed us the mountains, rice fields, bamboo forests, some villages; explained about herbal medicines, the culture of her tribe and others. More or less depending on how curious you are. We collected herbs as we walked, had a great lunch, a herbal bath in a big wooden barrel part way around and at the end a foot herbal bath and foot massage. There were options to do shorter or longer walks. Longest was 7 miles which we did. She was sooo lovely too. Went at our pace, stopped for water and photo breaks. You get a drink at the meeting point which was

The Tour was amazing! The views and spots we went to were absolutely impressive. We walked together with the Red Dao through the Bamboo Forest to their Village and could learn more about their life. Moreover we walked through the amazing rice fields. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

I really enjoyed the trekking tour with our guide, Nay! She helped us a lot while walking in the hills and taught us about local herbs. We also learned about the different Vietnamese ethnic groups and had an amazing experience in the bamboo forest. I even went bamboo hunting, and we also ate what we collected for dinner! Additionally, the herbal bath experience was truly fantastic. Last but not least, the foot massage with the incredible view of the Hmong homestay was the perfect relaxing ending to this one day tour.

This tour was amazing! One of the best experiences I have had in Sa Pa, and in Viet Nam. The guide and hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. Although the tour seems quite long, it is suitable for people of all athletic ability, as the guide is very receptive to people’s ability and the trekking is not particularly difficult. The highlight for me was the herbal baths in the village, probably the most relaxed I’ve ever felt! Not to mention the views along the way, which were incredible.

Amazing tour with beautiful places to see,we did the herbal bath and was so worth it and relaxing and had local launch later. At the tour there are some local ladies that come and help you because at some points it's a bit difficult to cross the paths especially if it has rained before. Also are tour guide Nay was amazing and very kind, had wonderful time with her!

We had such an amazing day on this tour. Our guide was honestly the best, so kind and welcoming, and she even took us to her village where we got to eat with her family. Everyone was so warm and friendly and the food was actually really good. It felt really special! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous the whole way, nonstop views of the mountains, rice fields, and little villages. The herbal bath at the end was rustic but so relaxing, we loved it after a long day of walking. It really felt like we were getting a real look into their culture and everyday life. Would totally recommend this if yo
