Ninh Binh is a show stopper trip. The wow factor passing under the mountain to discover valley after valley is a unique experience. A perfect full day that truly feels like discovering the Vietnamese countryside. Comfortable accommodations, good food, and a hilarious guide with excellent English. The night train was incredibly cozy, like traveling back in time, gently rocked by the rhythm of the tracks. Passing through Train Street from the train was a beautiful bonus. This was a great trip. Day 1 we had a great tour guide and a fully planned day including transport where we got to see Ninh Binh. Day 2 and 3 were spent in Sapa which was breathtakingly beautiful, we hiked down the mountain with a Hmong guide telling us about their people and culture. The evening we had allocated free time in Sapa which we spent at a bar with great coffee and at a touristy restaurant with amazing pizza and a fun host. Day 3 we visited Catcat and got to see the Hmong village. We would definitely recommend it. However do be mindful, you’re gonna be doing a lot in 3 days. We real
