Full description
This is a 2-day experience from Sapa, built around Hoang Lien Son Mountains, Lao Chai Village and Ta Van. It is run by Hmong House Sapa, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
The price covers Hmong guide, Red Dao guide, Lunch on both days, Overnight stay at Hmong House Homestay and Cultural performance. It does not cover Dinner on Day 2 and Personal expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Nhà Thờ Đá Sapa. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Hmong House Sapa before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

The Highlight of one full month Trip in Vietnam The two days trekking in Sapa with our Red Dao guide were amazing. The breathtaking views of the rice terasses, the enchanting bamboo forest, the water buffaloes and the herbal bath.. will stay with us forever! And the homestay was such an unexpected surprise! A homestay that deserves it’s name. It felt like paradise being surrounded by so many flowers. Su was the most hospitable, kind and nicest host we have met. She took such great care of us and made us feel part of her family from the first moment we met. Cooking dinner together and having th
Absolutely book this, one of the highlights of my SEA trip. First day started with Mang, a wonderful woman guiding you through the beautiful rice paddies, making sure you take the less touristy and much more beautiful way. She ends the day taking you to her house and showing all the local clothes she makes During the hike, she would tell stories about her village, family and give information on the plants/herbs. The homestay is absolutely wonderful, you will have a lovely family dinner and sleep in an incredible peaceful location. Day 2 I had Man May as the guide, where we do a quicker trek wh
We booked to stay and trek with Su at Hmong Homestay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Su and her husband went above and beyond to care for us whilst we stayed with them. No matter what time you arrived (1am) or woke up from sleep they went out of their way to make you comfortable and made us homemade food. I saw people arrive at 10pm and they instantly made them dinner and got them settled. We did the trekking with their tour guide which was brilliant very cultured and beautiful scenery. It was a memorable day. Su educated us on the traditional culture and folklore of Vietnam w
Perfect tours with beautiful landscape, very nice guide and excellent food. Also really interesting to discover the history about their culture. It is an experience everyone have to do when close to Sa Pa
My boyfriend treated me to a stay with Sue and her family, and it was a truly wonderful experience. This family takes excellent care of their guests; they took me to the market with their children, and we all cooked together. The rooms are very clean, and the place is very relaxing with a magnificent view of the mountains and rice paddies. Thank you again for the warm welcome. The guides during the hikes were also very kind and attentive, taking the time to explain village life, culture, and medicinal plants. The bath and massage were the perfect way to end the day. I highly recommend this won
I really enjoyed the two days and I had an amazing time! The nature was amazing and the people made the trip even more perfect and so lovely! Couldn’t recommend more
Amazing home stay, amazing trekking activities and amazing organiser! Everything was so well organised, the tour was led by a local tribe elder who was so warm and welcoming to us, teaching us so much about the local people, their way of life and history. She spoke very good English and had a great sense of humour We stayed at the home stay of the organiser Su who was so warm and kind throughout. She helped us with every problem/question that we’d encounter. We had family dinner with them (her husband also runs the homestay and he was a gentleman very warm and friendly) and her children were s
Vollste Empfehlung!
