This is a 8-hour experience in Sapa. It is run by Vn biketour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

First day was very nice although it was a long walk down to the waterfall. On the second day, Stella rearranged another tour for me to Moana and the Lao Cai Railway Station as my legs were aching from walking down the steep steps at Cat Cat. I decided to forego the third day tour to Fansipan, Vietnam's highest mountain and the "Roof of Indochina" as it was overcast and I have altitude sickness. The tour guides are able to converse well in English.
