This is a experience from Sapa, built around Bản Ý Linh Hồ, Lao Chai Village and Ta Van. It is run by Chan Giang, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

This is probably the best tour I’ve been on in Vietnam entirely. Our guide was fantastic, very insightful about the local culture and very honest in such a refreshing way. Super great hike and not too challenging for the range of fitness in the group.
Our tour with Sung (Chan’s husband) was amazing. He made the extra effort to meet us at our hotel (about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Sapa) and was able to tailor our trek to a route that was suitable for us based on our confidence and hiking ability. Sung was also able to recommend routes that were less touristy so that we could see more of the valley. We really appreciated having him as a guide and would recommend this tour!
The tour was amazing, the views are incredible, we went in very good weather and we could see it super green and beautiful. The guide was charming, all the time we were talking to her, she answered all the doubts we had, she was explaining everything we saw, always with a smile and making jokes all the time to laugh together. It has been an unforgettable experience, not only for the views and the landscape, but also for Chan our guide, who made the experience unique.
This is a once in a lifetime experience, we had the best day with our guide! We saw the most beautiful views and felt like we had a really authentic experience. It was quite muddy when we went but we were helped by our guide and other Hmong women and children. The lunch was delicious with a lovely view. This is an absolute must, we cannot recommend this tour enough.
