This is a 7-hour experience in Sapa. It is run by Sapa Original Trek Company Limited, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.

This guided trekking tour in Sapa was an absolutely incredible experience, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing guide Suo. Just as promised in the description, we were taken completely off the usual tourist paths. From the moment we were dropped off, we didn’t see a single other tourist, which made the experience feel truly unique and peaceful.
