Beim Schnorcheln vor Nusa Penida geht es vor allem um die Riffmantarochen am Manta Point an der Suedkueste der Insel, wo sie das ganze Jahr ueber zu finden sind, fressen und sich im Wellengang am Fuss der Klippen reinigen lassen. Die Boote fahren danach zu ruhigeren Stellen wie Crystal Bay, Gamat Bay und der Wand bei Buyuk fuer Korallen und Fische. Zwischen Juli und Oktober ist Crystal Bay auch der Ort, an den Taucher wegen des ozeanischen Mondfisches, mola mola, kommen, der in den kuehleren Monaten aus tieferem Wasser aufsteigt. Der Manta Point ist der Dunung aus dem Sueden ausgesetzt, und Boote lassen ihn aus, wenn das Meer aufgewuehlt ist, daher haengt ein Tag hier immer vom Wetter ab. Die Ueberfahrt von Sanur dauert dreissig bis fuenfundvierzig Minuten.

Pande, manu and bambang were so fantastic! The boat was beautiful. Even though we weren’t promised manta rays and turtles we saw both!! When we stopped for lunch they took us to the turtle conservation and we adopted turtles! What a great day overall!! Cannot recommend enough.

A fantastic day in Nusa Penida, with manta rays and a great crew We had a fantastic day and were lucky enough to see several manta rays while snorkelling, definitely one of the highlights of our Bali trip. A special thank you to Putu, Krishna, Rinto and Captain Selim aboard Golden Horizon 4. They were friendly, professional and attentive throughout. We would also especially like to mention Leo, who was incredibly kind and helpful, and Diki, who welcomed us at check-in and again on our return. At the beach club, Parki, Jazz, Alfian and Kade brought lots of energy and helped keep the atmosphere
