Our guide, Yoshi, was exceptional - 5 stars is not enough! Yoshi was so helpful in explaining the details of the gardens and how they are designed, and happily answered all our questions and gave us great advice! He directed us to the most picturesque spots for photos, and regularly offered to take photos of us, giving us some lovely mementos of our day. We were lucky enough to be in Nara for the full bloom of the cherry blossom, and Yoshi was also very helpful in telling us about the different kinds of blossom we were seeing, and across Nara more widely. My Gion tour in Kyoto was a fantastic experience and a highlight of my trip. Walking through the historic streets felt like stepping back in time, and the atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful. As a solo traveler, I felt very welcomed. The guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting insights about Gion’s history and geiko and maiko culture. The pace was relaxed, with time for photos and questions. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto—an authentic and memorable experience.
