Ella se encuentra a mil metros en un collado entre dos crestas, rodeada de te, y atrae a la gente por un clima de montaña y dos lugares especificos. Este es el viaje que hace esas dos cosas correctamente en lugar de apresurarse por una lista mas larga.
Little Adam's Peak abre el dia. Cuarenta y cinco minutos por un sendero en su mayoria escalonado desde el borde de la ciudad, lo bastante facil para la mayoria de niveles de forma fisica y para niños, y la vista a traves del Ella Gap hacia la llanura sur es la razon por la que la ciudad esta en el itinerario de cualquiera. Ir con la primera luz no es una preferencia: el aire esta mas claro por la mañana en todos los meses del año, y hacia las nueve la cima es una cola para la misma foto.
El puente de los nueve arcos es el otro. Noventa y un metros de viaducto de piedra a veinticuatro metros sobre un desfiladero, construido durante la Primera Guerra Mundial en mamposteria solida porque el acero previsto para el fue requisado para Europa. A un constructor local llamado P. K. Appuhami se le atribuye ampliamente haber completado la obra, y los sri lankeses cuentan esa historia con cierto orgullo.
Un guia vale la pena aqui principalmente por el tren. El horario publicado y la realidad son cosas distintas, los servicios llegan treinta a noventa minutos tarde por rutina, y alguien que consulto en la estacion esa mañana sabe cuando hay que estar donde.

The climb
45 minutes on a made path with concrete steps at the end. Walk past the first knoll — the others are quieter.
The bridge
A 20-minute walk down through tea, uphill on the way back. It is a working railway with no walkway.

Amitha was a wonderful guide; he provided information and took our photos. He took us to beautiful spots and took care of everything. I wish everyone could meet him. The Skywalk was fun; that path is great for climbing Little Adams Peak. We chose to go through Nil Diya Pokuna, which was a challenging route, but definitely worth it. It was a very fun and fulfilling tour. I recommend it.
Very nice tour with our guide Jegan! He was very friendly and explained a lot about the area and Sri Lanka in general. We got to see the main spots in Ella within half a day
Our guide was Jegan. He was super friendly, spoke very good English and knew lots about the history of the sites, the plants around and their uses and answered all our questions with ease! the tour was brilliantly done, the bridge is beautiful and we were able to walk across and Jegan timed our visit to see a train. We climbed Little Adams peak and ziplinned, as well as seeing the caves and swimming in waterfalls. The company was good at communicating and picked us up from our hotel. The tour was definately worth booking and our guide was superb and made the trip unforgettable. Extra thank you to Jegan for being so accommodating to us and looking after us. My mum had knee problems and he helped her navigate any steps, we could not have done the tour without him. He was super respectful, couldn't ask for anything more from a guide.
Jagan was great. We had fun tuk tuk rides to the waterfalls and little Adam’s peak. Jagan was really helpful and made the day fun. We then booked Jagan the next day to take us to a tea plantation. Would recommend
We had a brilliant day with Amitha and Pathum. Started with a hike and a scramble up Little Adam’s Peak and zip lining. We then joined hundreds of other people watching the train cross 9 arch bridge and listen to a local lady’s rendition of Barbie Girl. The day concluded with the most magical waterfall swim, jumping in from the rocks and a delicious lunch at a restaurant in the rice fields. The guides were excellent - stopping along the route to point out black faced monkeys and a mongoose. They were safe drivers and were very attentive. Recommend!

We had a wonderful day in Ella! We visited the Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak and some beautiful waterfalls. Everything was perfectly organized, and our guide Ragu was incredibly kind and friendly. He was very flexible, never rushed us and was happy to adjust the itinerary to what we wanted. We really enjoyed the day and would highly recommend him! Thank you for a lovely trip!
