Casi todo el mundo sube a Little Adam's Peak al amanecer, por lo que casi todo el mundo esta alli arriba a las siete de la mañana. La version del atardecer cambia una cosa por otra y merece entenderse antes de elegir.

Lo que se pierde es claridad. El aire de Ella es mas claro por la mañana en todos los meses del año, y a ultima hora de la tarde la larga vista a traves del Gap suele estar mas brumosa o, en los meses humedos, completamente perdida entre nubes.

Lo que se gana es luz y tranquilidad. El sol se pone detras de la cresta en lugar de en su objetivo, las laderas de te se vuelven doradas durante unos veinte minutos, y la cima tiene solo una fraccion de la gente. En una tarde clara es la mejor fotografia; en una nublada es la peor apuesta.

La caminata en si es la misma: unos 45 minutos por un sendero en su mayoria escalonado desde el borde de la ciudad, lo bastante facil para la mayoria de niveles de forma fisica y para niños, con escalones de hormigon en el ultimo tramo.

El descenso se hace con luz menguante y esta es la razon practica para tener un guia. Los escalones son irregulares, resbaladizos tras la lluvia, y una linterna de telefono sostenida con una mano no es lo mismo que alguien que conoce el camino.

De vuelta en la ciudad a tiempo para la cena.

Ella es un pueblo a 1.040 metros en las montañas del sur, al que se llega en el tren desde Kandy que la mayoria considera el trayecto ferroviario mas bonito de Asia, y sus lugares de interes estan todos a pocos kilometros: el puente de los nueve arcos, un viaducto de ladrillo de 1921 en un desfiladero de te, que un tren cruza varias veces al dia; el Little Adam’s Peak, una caminata de 40 minutos entre te hasta una cresta; Ella Rock, una subida mas exigente de tres horas; y las cascadas de Ravana en la carretera hacia Wellawaya. Las mañanas son claras y las tardes de los meses humedos traen nubes al paso, por eso las caminatas se hacen temprano. Los tuk-tuks son el transporte, y cualquier alojamiento puede conseguir uno.

Non è un posto per il quale è necessaria una guida, tutta la gente saliva autonomamente e sopratutto non si paga nessun biglietto all’ingresso (visto che nella vostra didascalia viene menzionato il biglietto nelle cose incluse). Il ragazzo che ci ha portato su era anche molto gentile e disponibile ma non è corretto far credere ad un turista che sia necessaria una guida visto che non c’è niente da spiegare ma solo il panorama da vedere.
