Esta es la version corta del taller de talla, y existe por una razon especifica: una tarde en Kandy a menudo ya esta ocupada, y una hora basta para realmente hacer algo.

El artesano comienza con una demostracion, los cinceles, el mazo, la forma en que se transfiere un diseño a un bloque en blanco, y que significan los motivos recurrentes de Kandy. El loto, la enredadera liya vela y los bordes geometricos son un vocabulario que recorre todo, desde puertas de templos hasta mascaras de danza, y diez minutos de explicacion cambian la forma en que ve el resto de Kandy.

Luego talla. Se le da un bloque preparado y las herramientas, y el artesano trabaja a su lado corrigiendo en lugar de tomar el control. Una hora basta para una pieza pequeña, que usted conserva.

Los traslados en tuk-tuk desde su hotel estan incluidos, lo cual importa porque los talleres estan en las calles artesanales en lugar de en la ruta turistica y no son faciles de encontrar solo.

This is the perfect way to experience Kandy if you have limited time here. Akila is very knowledgeable on the local area and was the perfect driver for this experience. We started with the carving workshop which was lots of fun getting to learn a traditional craft. After the workshop the day is yours, you can do as many or as few of the activities in the description as you like. This makes this experience a great way to see all the sites in Kandy, while doing some fun workshops, without having to worry about how you’ll get to each one. Akila is a really nice guy as well, couldn’t recommend thi

Was leuk! Akila heeft zich uitgebreid de tijd genomen voor ons, alles op ons gemak. Wat je niet wilt hoeft niet, je kan ervoor kiezen om een uur extra verlengen bij het houtsnijden wat wij hebben gedaan om een leuk resultaat te behalen dit kost nog eens 4000 p.p.
