We had a fantastic day in Nara. Our guide Junichi was excellent. He is a Nara native and spoke excellent English. He was also a high school teacher, therefore we had top notch education for our tour! I highly recommend him and this tour.

Nara is very beautiful. Junichi was the best tour guide that we had in all of Japan. His knowledge, kindness and attitude is top level. I really recommend booking this tour and ask for Junichi. We really enjoyed our time in Nara.

Junichi was the best possible guide for a Nara Tour. He engaged with us constantly throughout the tour, made sure he answered all our questions and was very genuine and organized. We had a wonderful private tour in Nara with our guide, Kazuo Sumi-san. He reached out to me months in advance after I made the booking and thoughtfully considered every detail I mentioned. He customized the tour perfectly to suit our family, including our two kids. Sumi-san was incredibly punctual, patient, and kind throughout the day. Haru provided us with an excellent private tour of Nara, using public transportation from Kyoto. This was our last full day in Japan and we were not disappointed! Haru is an enthusiastic guide and clearly enjoys sharing his knowledge and showing off the sights. We especially appreciated his flexibility and willingness to modify our tour in order to help us with some final travel arrangements.

Amazing day in Nara with Ken! He is a lively, retired Japanese engineer, living between Kyoto and Nara, who has worked in the Chicago area while at Panasonic, making him perfectly fluent in English. He was very kind, knowledgeable, flexible (we had to start a bit later and finish a bit earlier than planned) and patient with our teenage boys, made us discover gems in Nara (Great Buddha statue, imperial palace site, including a fascinating bit on ancient building techniques, World Heritage gardens, etc.). Tailored to our requests, Rie took us through Nara in one day perfectly. We enjoyed all the sites with Rie very much. She is a very knowledgeable guide and we experienced her as a kind and warm person, with great preparation. Starting at the beautiful gardens and having the site to ourselves was perfect and then moving on to all the must sees, having a nice lunch experience and stopping at the best mochi place in town when ending tour made our day complete. Shuji was brilliant, he took the time to plan our Nara day well ahead of our arrival and followed up multiple times before the day, making sure we got to see the things we wanted to see and making sure we didn’t miss out anything that was culturally significant and interesting.
