Horton Plains est le paysage le plus etrange du Sri Lanka: un plateau de prairie d'altitude et de foret de nuages a environ 2 300 metres, balaye par le vent et froid, avec des arbres rabougris couverts de mousse et de lichen. Cela ressemble davantage a l'Ecosse qu'aux tropiques, et les especes vivant dans cette tranche d'altitude n'existent nulle part ailleurs.

World's End est la raison pour laquelle les gens viennent. L'escarpement sud se termine brusquement et le sol tombe d'environ 870 metres en une paroi abrupte, avec la plaine et, par une matinee claire, la cote sud visible loin en bas.

Y arriver en train jusqu'a Ohiya est ce qui distingue cela du voyage routier habituel. Ohiya est la gare la plus haute de la ligne de montagne, la montee traverse le meilleur du pays du the, et cela transforme l'approche en une partie de la journee plutot qu'en un trajet de deux heures dans l'obscurite.

Engaged this tour package and was assigned a driver cum tour guide, Mr Sanju, who was very experienced and brought us around. He showed us some of the other spots during the tour as well. Had a great time with him as a guide! Thank you!

Le parc est très beau mais nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas recommander cette excursion. En effet le prix est beaucoup trop élevé par rapport à la prestation. Le guide n’a pas vraiment été utile et il ne parlait pas anglais. Nous avons été déçues par rapport à la promesse de l’excursion.

Amith, our Guide, is a very nice person and showed us some sweet spots to enjoy the magnificent nature of the horton plains! he was always aware to avoid crowded places and took beautiful pictures from us! Also we could so some spontaneous changes of our day easily! Thank you so much for that day! Was totall worth it!
