Si vous passez de Kandy a Ella de toute facon, et sur presque tous les itineraires du Sri Lanka c'est le cas, c'est la facon sensee de le faire. Plutot que de payer separement pour un transfert puis de refaire une excursion vers les memes lieux, le trajet devient les visites.

L'itineraire commence aux jardins botaniques royaux de Peradeniya, 60 hectares dans une boucle de la riviere Mahaweli avec une allee de palmiers, une serre a orchidees et un figuier de Java qui ombrage la plus grande partie d'un gazon. Puis la montee commence, a travers Gampola et Pussellawa, avec un arret jardin d'epices ou cannelle, cardamome, poivre et vanille poussent dans la meme parcelle.

Les cascades de Ramboda marquent la mi-chemin, une chute de 100 metres a courte distance de marche de la route, et au-dessus la campagne devient entierement du the. The transfer got us from Kandy to Ella. The reason for the 3/5 is the tour guide was supposed to be English speaking but didn't really seem to know much.

January to March for the clearest Ella Gap views. June to September is dry but hazy from the Uva wind; October to December is wet. Do everything before nine in the morning. The Gap view is clearer in the morning in every month, Little Adam's Peak has a queue by nine, and the Nine Arch Bridge has hundreds of people on it by ten.
Time it for a puja — 5.30am, 9.30am or 6.30pm. Those are the only windows when the upper relic chamber opens and the hevisi drummers play; outside them you are visiting a beautiful building rather than a ceremony. February for the clearest weather, or July-August, which is drier here than most people expect and covers the Esala Perahera.
