Begin your adventure with a morning pick-up from your hotel and travel towards the spectacular Knuckles Mountain Range, one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic and biodiverse mountain regions.

08:00– Knuckles Waterfall Trekking Adventure

Start your memorable Knuckles Mountain trekking and hiking experience, surrounded by misty mountains, lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking landscapes. Explore the beautiful Hulu Waterfall and Thaliya Waterfall while enjoying the incredible biodiversity of the Knuckles region, home to numerous birds, amphibians, reptiles, freshwater species, and mammals. Continue towards Bambarella, a peaceful mountain village surrounded by spectacular natural scenery.

14:00 – Trek to the Mountain Campsite

After lunch, continue the second stage of your Knuckles trekking adventure with an approximately 3 km hike through scenic mountainous terrain towards your campsite.

16:30 – Evening Tea in the Mountains

Arrive at the standard mobile camping site and relax with a refreshing cup of tea while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Knuckles wilderness.

19:00 – BBQ Dinner & Campfire Experience

Reserved seats open 30 days ahead and sell out within hours from December to March. Unreserved 2nd/3rd class is sold on the day and always available — you will stand, which is where the open doorways and the famous photographs are. Sit on the right-hand side going south. Sigiriya and Dambulla (2.5 hrs each way) is the best of them. Kitulgala rafting is 2 hrs, the Knuckles range and Pekoe Trail stages are day hikes from here. Ella, Galle and Yala are *too far* — 4-6 hours each way. See day trips from Kandy.
