Full description
This is a 3-hour experience from Nusa Penida, built around Other water transport, Mesari Beach Restaurant and Manta Point. It is run by Lembongan Water Sport, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Snorkelling off Nusa Penida is about the reef manta rays at Manta Point on the island's south coast, where they are present year-round, feeding and being cleaned in the swell at the base of the cliffs. Boats then move to calmer spots such as Crystal Bay, Gamat Bay and the wall at Buyuk for coral and fish. Between July and October, Crystal Bay is also the place divers come for the oceanic sunfish, mola mola, which rise from deep water in the cooler months. Manta Point is exposed to southern swell and boats skip it when the sea is up, so a day here is always weather-dependent. The crossing from Sanur is thirty to forty-five minutes.

It does not cover Hotel Pickup and drop off and Marine Retribution IDR 100.000/person, so budget for those separately. Was totally worth it, perfect value for money. The guides were very kind and took good care of us. We were able to see mantas, turtle and so many beautiful fishes, corals. Didn’t expect tough that the mantas are found close to the cliffs, so we had to deal with bit strong waves. The lunch was really delicius with more options. And the end of the trip the kajak in the forest was so nice and calming. Absolutely recommend!
These guys are the real deal! Huge swell and waves, they moved from spot to another till they were satisfied it's safe, no cutting corners. I've seen 4 mantas, turtle, dolphins, beautiful corals and lots of fishies. Great lunch, after that kayaking in the mangrove, tired, but very happy.
We've done this activity the 2 times we've been to Bali, as it is one of the best activities I have done of all my trips! The crew is amazing, they do a big effort to look for mantas and guide you to see them (without harassing them), the coral gardens they take you are STUNNING, the food is nice, and the kayak through the mangroves are the perfect end to the trip! This is a must do in Bali! The highlight of our trip. Great value for money, excellent communication, a focus on safety first and the most wonderful snorkelling! Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, helped us find great snorkelling spots and turtles and made the experience even more enjoyable by teaching us how to free dive. We cannot thank them enough for the wonderful opportunity they provided for us. Highly recommend!
This was unbelievable value for money. We were lucky enough to see 3 giant manta rays and a green turtle. Wyan the guide was fantastic. He took extra time with my 10 yr old daughter and had her snorkelling like a pro by the end. It was a completely fabulous experience - highly recommend it.
Very nice snorkeling, didn’t see mantas but turtles
Our guides were very knowledgeable and he picked the right spot to see the Manta Rays. It was great because there were no other groups in the area so we got to see a lot without a crowd. As we were leaving other tour groups came to the spot. Lunch was great and in a very calming spot and the kayak through the mangroves was really nice. Loved the whole experience. They did have to organise different transport to get back as the sea was too choppy to get across where we were but we just rolled with it and enjoyed seeing a different part of the island. This was amazing. The guides were fun and engaging and in every snorkeling spot there was so much to see. They took great pictures and videos of everyone in the group. Although we couldn’t snorkel in manta bay due to heavy tides. It feels really good that they chose safety over selling a tour, and took us to another spot with calmer waters. Their camp is a magical place hidden in the mangle, so pretty. Totally recommend kayaking too.

One of the best activities you can do in Nusa Penida, our guides were so kind and also funny. We were lucky because we had a chance to see mantas, sea turtles and dolphins aswell, besides the millions of corals and tropical fishes. Simply amazing!
