This is a 7-hour experience from Nusa Penida, built around Kemenuh Monkey River, Setia Darma House of Mask and Puppets and Sumampan Waterfall. Nusa Penida is the largest of the three islands off Bali's south-east coast, about 200 square kilometres of limestone with cliffs on the south and west and a few villages on the north coast where the boats land. It has no traffic to speak of but its roads are narrow and slow, which is why a day trip covers either the west side (Kelingking, Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong) or the east (Diamond Beach, Atuh, Tree House), not both. Fast boats from Sanur take thirty to forty-five minutes, run from around 7:00, and are cancelled or delayed in a big swell. Bring cash: card machines are rare and the ATMs are unreliable.
