Full description

Booked by one man and one woman together, this is Minori's photography package, and the published rate is for the pair rather than for each of you. Unlike the shop's plain rental plans, a photographer comes with you. Both of you are dressed at the Takama-cho shop in a premium kimono or, in the warm months, a yukata set, the women's simple hair set is done, and then roughly forty minutes of shooting takes place in Nara Park. A studio session at the shop is included at no extra cost. What is not published is the total length end to end — the forty minutes refers to the park shoot alone, and dressing, walking there and the studio work all add to the day.

Nara Park earns its place as the location. More than a thousand wild sika deer live there, protected as messengers of the Shinto gods and designated a National Natural Treasure in 1957, wandering freely among the lawns and cedar groves that lead towards Todaiji and Kasuga Taisha. The shop is on the ground floor at 43-1 Takama-cho, thirty seconds from Exit 7S at Kintetsu Nara Station and ten minutes' walk from the park, with Naramachi's preserved Edo-period merchant lanes in between if you want to keep wandering after the camera is packed away.

The delivery terms are specific. Original photo data plus twenty edited images are emailed within thirty days of the shoot. The photographer colour-grades the selection, but cosmetic editing — face reshaping, skin retouching — is excluded. Booking conditions matter too: this runs as a special event package, so payment is cash only, a 5,000 yen deposit is taken at booking, prices are quoted before consumption tax, and the discounted event rate is available only to guests who agree to their photographs being used on the shop's social media.
