The running order is Kathmandu – Sankhu – Nagarkot, then Nagarkot – Changunarayan – Kathmandu.

Kathmandu – Sankhu – Nagarkot

Meet your guide at Chhaya Center, Thamel, in the morning and drive appro 17 km to Sankhu, an ancient Newar settlement in the Kathmandu Valley. After a short briefing, begin your hike through peaceful villages, terraced farmland, forests, and traditional settlements. The trail gradually ascends toward Nagarkot, one of the most popular hill stations near Kathmandu, known for its panoramic Himalayan views and beautiful sunsets. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Nagarkot – Changunarayan – Kathmandu

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise and, weather permitting, views of the Himalayan range. After breakfast, begin your hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan through forest trails, small villages, farmland, and scenic countryside. The trail gradually descends to Changunarayan Temple, a World Heritage Site and one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley. Explore the historic temple complex and surrounding traditional settlement before meeting your vehicle for the drive back to Kathmandu.
