Tour Itinerary
The schedule below is a suggested plan and can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Settle into Besisahar and prepare for first day of trekking.
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the gateway to the Lamjung region. Travel through green hills, river valleys, terraced farmland, and traditional settlements along the Prithvi Highway and onward toward the Marshyangdi River valley. After around 5–6 hours on the road, arrive in Besisahar, check into your lodge, and enjoy a relaxing evening before the trek begins.
Relax in Baglungpani and enjoy the peaceful mountain village
After breakfast, begin trekking toward Baglungpani. The trail initially follows the Marshyangdi River before climbing through terraced fields, forests, and traditional Gurung settlements. As you gain elevation, enjoy increasingly wide views across the surrounding hills and, weather permitting, toward the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. Reach peaceful Baglungpani after several hours of walking and spend the evening in the village.
Enjoy Ghanpokhara’s Gurung culture & mountain scenery.
Continue along a scenic ridge trail through forests and traditional hillside settlements. The route passes through the culturally rich Gurung village of Ghalegaun, where you can observe traditional architecture and enjoy impressive mountain and valley views. From Ghalegaun, continue gradually toward Ghanpokhara, a welcoming Gurung settlement surrounded by beautiful hills. Spend the evening experiencing local hospitality and village culture.
Relax in Tamagaun & experience atmosphere of Gurung village.
Leave Ghanpokhara and descend toward Bhujung, one of the prominent traditional Gurung villages in the area. Continue down toward the Bhujung River, cross the bridge, and follow the trail through terraced farmland and mixed forest. The peaceful route offers a close look at rural life and traditional mountain agriculture. Continue walking to Tamagaun, where you will spend the night in a local lodge or homestay.
Enjoy evening in Taksar & prepare for the final trekking.
After breakfast, continue your journey through the peaceful hills of Lamjung. Today's trail is a pleasant walk through terraced farmland, forested sections, and traditional Gurung settlements. Take time to observe local homes, agricultural practices, and everyday village life along the way. The changing landscapes and quiet trails make this a rewarding day away from the busier trekking routes. Arrive at Taksar and settle in for the evening.
Spend the evening in Saklung and enjoy the final night
Today the trail continues through villages before descending toward the Modi River. Cross a suspension bridge and begin the climb through forest toward Saklung. The route combines village scenery, woodland trails, and changing mountain landscapes as you gradually gain elevation. Saklung provides another opportunity to experience rural Nepal away from the major trekking crowds. After arriving, relax at your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Arrive in Pokhara and continue your Nepal journey.
Complete your trek with a descent through villages and forest toward the Begnas Lake area. After reaching the road, continue by local transportation toward Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most popular lakeside cities. Enjoy views of the surrounding hills and the peaceful atmosphere around Begnas Lake before completing the journey to Pokhara. Your Baglungpani and Ghanpokhara Trek ends in Pokhara, leaving you free to explore the city or continue your Nepal adventure.
