A 7-day trip out of Kathmandu taking in Arrival in Kathmandu, Kathmandu to Besisahar, Besisahar to Manang and Explore Manang. There are 6 stops in all.
The running order is Arrival in Kathmandu, then Kathmandu to Besisahar, then Besisahar to Manang, then Explore Manang, then Manang to Bandipur, and on from there.
The price covers backup support vehicle, Professional mechanic, Guide accompanying the backup team and Accommodation on BB plan (twin-sharing basis). It does not cover meals not mentioned, Optional: If needed Road Captain (USD 150 per day extra) and Tips and gratuities, so budget for those separately. Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. This day is reserved for preparation and adjustment. You will meet the support team for a bike fitting session and enjoy a short test ride around the Kathmandu Valley to ensure everything is perfectly set for the adventure ahead. The evening is free to relax or explore the vibrant surroundings.
Kathmandu to Besisahar
Today, the journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, covering approximately 175 km. The drive takes you through winding highways, riverside views, and lush hills. Most riders transport their bikes by vehicle to conserve energy for the demanding off-road sections ahead. Upon arrival, you can relax and prepare for the real biking adventure starting the next day.
Besisahar to Manang
This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the tour. The route follows a rugged off-road trail along the Marshyangdi River, gradually ascending into the high Himalayas. Covering approximately 99 km, the ride demands endurance and determination due to the steep elevation gain. Riders may choose partial jeep support (such as up to Chame) to manage the intensity. As you approach Manang, the landscape transforms dramatically into alpine terrain with breathtaking mountain views.
Explore Manang
A crucial acclimatization day in Manang allows your body to adjust to the altitude while enjoying the stunning surroundings. You can take a short ride to Gangapurna Lake or visit the nearby village of Khangsar, both offering spectacular views of Tilicho Peak. The day also includes opportunities to explore local monasteries and experience the unique Tibetan-influenced Manangi culture. This relaxed day balances adventure with cultural immersion.
Manang to Bandipur
The day begins with a long and exciting descent from Manang back towards Besisahar, offering a thrilling downhill riding experience. From there, you will continue towards Bandipur, either by ride or vehicle. Bandipur, a beautifully preserved Newari hilltop town, welcomes you with panoramic views of the Annapurna range and a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxation after an intense journey.
Bandipur to Kathmandu
On the final riding day, you will travel back to Kathmandu via the Prithvi Highway. This stretch offers smooth roads, scenic river valleys, and rolling hills, making for an enjoyable and reflective end to the biking experience. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can unwind and celebrate the successful completion of your Himalayan adventure.
Departure
Your journey concludes with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Depending on your schedule, you may enjoy some last-minute shopping or a short stroll around the city before departure.
