Tour Itinerary
The schedule below is a suggested plan and can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Scenic Flight & First Day Trek
Start your adventure with an early morning flight from Kathmandu (or Ramechhap during peak season) to Lukla, one of the world's most scenic mountain airports. Meet your trekking crew and begin hiking through traditional Sherpa villages, pine forests, and alongside the Dudh Koshi River. Cross your first suspension bridges and enjoy beautiful Himalayan scenery before reaching the peaceful village of Phakding, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable teahouse.
Cross Suspension Bridges & Enter Sagarmatha National Park
After breakfast, continue along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several famous suspension bridges before entering Sagarmatha National Park. Pass through the village of Jorsale and begin the steady climb to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. On a clear day, you'll catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest before arriving in the bustling Sherpa town, where you'll spend the night in a traditional teahouse.
Explore Khumjung & Adjust to the Altitude
Today is an important acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. Hike to the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung, visit the historic monastery, and see the school founded by Sir Edmund Hillary. Enjoy beautiful views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Khumbila before returning to Namche Bazaar for another comfortable night in a teahouse.
Walk to the Famous Tengboche Monastery
Leave Namche Bazaar and follow a scenic trail with spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku. Descend to the Dudh Koshi River before climbing through beautiful rhododendron forests to Tengboche Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in the Everest region. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spend the night in a traditional teahouse surrounded by Himalayan peaks.
Journey into the High Himalayas
After breakfast, leave Tengboche and descend through forests to Pangboche, one of the oldest Sherpa villages in the Khumbu. Continue as the landscape opens into the high alpine valley, with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Island Peak, and surrounding mountains. Arrive in Dingboche, where you'll rest and prepare for the trek's highest point while spending the night in a traditional mountain teahouse.
Summit Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m)
Start early for the rewarding climb to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m), one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region. Follow a steady uphill trail above Dingboche and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu, Island Peak, Cholatse, and the surrounding Khumbu Valley. After spending time at the summit for photos and the incredible scenery, descend back to Dingboche for a well-earned rest in a traditional teahouse.
Descend Through the Khumbu Valley
After breakfast, leave Dingboche and retrace your steps through Pangboche and Tengboche, enjoying familiar mountain views from a new perspective. Cross suspension bridges, walk through rhododendron forests, and descend to Namche Bazaar, where you can relax, enjoy a hot meal, and spend your final evening in the heart of the Everest region.
Final Day on the Trail
Today is your final trekking day. Follow the Dudh Koshi River through beautiful forests, cross suspension bridges, and pass traditional Sherpa villages as you make your way back to Lukla. Celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your guide and fellow trekkers before spending your last night in a mountain teahouse.
Scenic Flight from Lukla
After an early breakfast, board your scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu (or Ramechhap Airport during peak trekking seasons). Enjoy one last view of the Himalayas before landing.
