A 4-day trip out of Kandy taking in Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam's Peak, World famous train ride and Tea Factory Visit. There are 10 stops in all.

The running order is Nine Arches Bridge, then Little Adam's Peak, then World famous train ride, then Tea Factory Visit, then Temple of tooth, and on from there.

The price covers air-conditioned private vehicle, English-speaking driver-guide, 3 star hotel for Ella overnight and 4-star hotels for Kandy and Sigiriya overnight and Breakfast and dinner at hotel. It does not cover lunch, Entry tickets (Sigiriya, Temple of the Tooth, etc.) and National park entry ticket (Minneriya), so budget for those separately.

Those are the only windows when the upper relic chamber opens and the hevisi drummers play; outside them you are visiting a beautiful building rather than a ceremony. Reserved seats open 30 days ahead and sell out within hours from December to March. Unreserved 2nd/3rd class is sold on the day and always available — you will stand, which is where the open doorways and the famous photographs are. Sit on the right-hand side going south. Sigiriya and Dambulla (2.5 hrs each way) is the best of them. Kitulgala rafting is 2 hrs, the Knuckles range and Pekoe Trail stages are day hikes from here. Ella, Galle and Yala are *too far* — 4-6 hours each way. See day trips from Kandy.
