Description complète

Teppei was our guide, he was extremely polite and informative! He gave us a thorough tour of the museum of history as well as Osaka castle. He even stayed with us well beyond the allotted time to ensure that we got to experience every part of the tour to the fullest extent. Absolutely worth it, you will not regret this tour!

We enjoyed the walk very much! Suzu took very good care of us. For my blind husband, she managed to get us on the top floor of Osaka Castle without many stairs. we very much appreciated the effort! What she told us about the history of Osaka and Osaka Castle was very informative. At the end of the walk, she accompanied us to our next sightseeing spot, even outside of the booked 3 hours. We can only highly recommend this walk and Suzu as a tour guide!

My first day in Japan was an unforgettable immersion into Japanese heritage, thanks to my incredible guide, Eri. We explored the majestic Osaka Castle and the Osaka Museum of History, which provided the perfect context for understanding this vibrant city. A highlight was visiting Hōkoku Shrine within the castle grounds—a serene space dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. As fellow language enthusiasts, Eri and I had a fantastic time diving into the nuances of the Japanese language alongside the history. She didn't just share facts; she connected them to the culture and local idioms, making the past

Aditya was so knowledgeable. He provided us so much thoughtful information and history behind so much of what makes Osaka what it is today. It’s hard to imagine going to the museum or the Osaka Castle without a guide, so much would be lost. I’d highly recommend this tour and Aditya.

The price does not cover entrance to the osaka castle nishinomaru garden. Everything it does cover is listed in full on this page, so if something is not on that list, budget for it separately.
Unless the option says private, this runs as a small group. The operator caps it rather than filling a coach, and if you want it to yourselves the private option is priced separately on this page.
We confirm your booking with the operator before we treat it as final, and we need at least one day's notice. Once it is confirmed you get the meeting point, the time and a contact number for the day. If the operator cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

April for cherry blossom around Osaka Castle, or November for peak autumn foliage and the year's lowest rainfall. Both are the most crowded and most expensive months, so book hotels 3+ months ahead. See our best time to visit Osaka guide.

Three days covers the essentials: a day for Osaka Castle and the city center, a day for Dotonbori and Shinsekai, and a day for a Nara or Kyoto side trip. Our 3-day Osaka itinerary has the full route.
Yes — Nara is about 30-45 minutes by Kintetsu train for the deer park and Todai-ji, and Kyoto is roughly 29 minutes by JR Special Rapid. Both are easy half-day or full-day trips. See our Osaka to Nara guide and Osaka to Kyoto guide.
Takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (savory pancake) are Osaka's signature street foods, best sampled around Dotonbori and Kuromon Market. See our Osaka food guide.
Yes — it's the city's neon-lit entertainment and food district, and while it's undeniably touristy, the energy, canal-side glow, and street food density make it genuinely worth an evening. See the Dotonbori guide.
Shinsekai is Osaka's retro, slightly gritty downtown district built around the Tsutenkaku Tower, known for kushikatsu (fried skewers). It's generally safe for tourists, especially in the daytime and early evening. See the Shinsekai guide.
