This is a 10-hour experience from Kyoto, built around Amanohashidate and Miyama Kayabuki-no-Sato. It is run by 株式会社星辰, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.

We had an amazing day trip visiting Amanohashidate, the Ine Boathouses, and Miyama. She was a fantastic guide – very friendly, sympathetic, and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We were also very lucky with the weather, which allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of each location. From the stunning views at Amanohashidate to the unique charm of the Ine Boathouses and the peaceful atmosphere of Miyama, everything was truly memorable. The trip was absolutely worth it and exceeded our expectations.

I posti visitati meritano sicuramente di essere visti. Purtroppo non siamo stati molto soddisfatti dalla guida. Poche spiegazioni in lingua inglese e assolutamente nessuna spiegazione dei luoghi visitati. Abbiamo dovuto trovare le informazioni su chatGPT. Mi aspettavo un minimo di spiegazione, invece si e trattato solo di un accompagnamento nei luoghi con il bus (tra l’altro non troppo comodo). Esperienza overpriced decisamente!

Amanohashidate is a great trip to just look around, enjoy the sea wind and make some nice pictures. When you want to see the houses on boats, please take a camera which can zoom in to make more detailed pictures. If you want to make pictures of the seagull and eagles. The seagull like the shrimp chips but it might take some time before they bit. The eagles seem to like the fish burger (including the bread). The cost about 500-700 yen (with or without bun!) and if you walk towards the boat, watch out that they don't target your burger. Therefore make sure you know who gives the burger and who m
