Full description
This is a 1.5-hour experience from Kyoto, built around Fushimi Inari Taisha. It is run by DeepExperience, Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, the deity of rice and business, and its thousand-plus vermilion torii gates, each donated by a company or family, run in tunnels up the 233-metre Mount Inari behind the main hall. The full loop to the summit is about four kilometres and two hours; most visitors turn back at the Yotsutsuji viewpoint halfway. It is open 24 hours and free, which makes it the one big Kyoto sight you can do at dawn or after dark, when the gates are empty and lit. By nine in the morning the lower tunnels are a slow queue. The fox statues carry keys to the rice granary in their mouths.
The price covers local expert guide and Guided visit to Fushimi Inari Taisha. It does not cover Meals and Transportation to and from the meeting point, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Inari Station. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with DeepExperience, Inc. before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Teppei was an Awesome tour guide very informative and high energy as we also had shared interest in Anime, USJ and Japanese Culture. He went above and beyond and it shows he truly loves what does! Highly recommended tour with Teppei he's the coolest!
Teppei was AMAZING!!! He kept in contact with me prior to the tour and was such a knowledgeable guide. He is such a happy person and very generous and made the tough hike to the top enjoyable. Thank you so much Teppei!!!
Excellent. Best tour guide yet. Satoshi was kind, intelligent, informative and always open to any questions.
My wife went on this tour, guided by Yoshi, and she said she loved his explanations, which delved not only into history, but also into Japanese culture! He was always very available and the photos were incredible!
Tomoko was very sweet as 72 year-old Japanese woman. Her English was very difficult to understand. I love the fact that she is still out there and about.
Teppei was amaizing guide!!!
Fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the Fushimi shrine and excellent English.
The guide was so lovely but the tour was very short and something we could’ve done in our own. My daughter needed a bathroom break but we still could’ve kept going after that. Disappointing.
