This is a 3-hour experience in Kyoto. It is run by TripGuru Japan, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Gion is Kyoto's historic entertainment district, the streets of wooden machiya houses around Hanamikoji where the geiko and maiko of the Gion Kobu district still work. They are working professionals on their way to engagements, not performers for the street, and Kyoto has banned photography in the private lanes; an evening walk with a guide who explains the ochaya system is the respectful way to see it. Tea ceremony sessions in Gion teach the basic form of matcha preparation in an hour. Kimono rental for a day, with dressing and hair, is an established business around the district and is welcomed rather than resented.

La experiencia fue pésima el guía nos cambió el itinerario, hicimos el recorrido por el castillo muy rápido o mucha prisa. Después llegamos tarde a la ceremonia del té. El lugar de la ceremonia del té fue horrible. Fue estuvo lleno, duró muy poquito. Era una demostración más que una ceremonia, el día no estaba nada preparado, fue muy mala experiencia

Leider war die übliche Teezeremonie ausverkauft/ zum geplanten Zeitpunkt nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Dem entsprechend wurde vom Guide umgeplant und wir sind erst ins Schloss und danach zu einer alternativen "Teezeremonie". Es war ein überfüllter Keller in dem jeder selbst seinen Tee zubereitet hat und einen Person mit Mikrofon und Lautsprechern erklärt hat was man tun soll. Wir haben letztes Jahr im Gion bereits eine Teezeremonie besucht und hatten ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis mit einem wunderschönen Gartenblick, einer ausgebildeten Telemeisterin im Kimono während wir auf Tatami Matten gesessen

Unser Guide Claudia war super. Sie hat uns alles sehr gut in englisch erklärt. wir konnten sie super verstehen und sie konnte alle unsere Fragen beantworten. Als es angefangen hat zu regnen hat sie uns schnell Regenschirme organisiert und wir konnten die Tour fortsetzen, daher ein großes Lob an Sie. wir hatten viel Spaß schon beim ersten Punkt. Unsere Gruppe konnte bei der traditionellen Teezeremonie zeigen, was sie beim Herstellen der traditionellen Süßigkeiten, mal mehr mal weniger erfolgreich kann. Den Erklärungen konnten wir gut folgen um am Ende der Zeremonie konnten wir unsere Süßigkeite
