Full description
This is a 45-minute experience in Kyoto. It is run by Mitt, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.

Traveler Reviews
It is an unmissable experience in Kyoto, Japanese music, dances and folklore together in this show. The dancers and musicians are incredible.
Zero stars for a "guide" who never showed up. Other than that, the venue staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our "one drink" and the performance itself was amazing! It was unfortunate to see that less than 20% of the seats were occupied. The ticket price was a bit stiff for an hour performance. All-in-all, I'd rate the experience 4 stars.
Absolutely electrifying show! A lot of fun and it was a bonus that I got to go on stage - one of the two audience volunteers on stage! Got to experience the drum and artists up close and personal. Autographed scarf was a nice touch!
Phenomenal! Inspiring! Awesome! The performers were graceful, multitalented, and passionate. The physical strength and endurance of the performers was truly incredible and the costumes were gorgous. A definite must see!
An absolutely fun and invigorating performance! The energy was incredible from start to finish. The interactive section was a highlight, where two volunteers were invited on stage to join the drumming. I recommend this show to everyone. It’s a must see!
We had an amazing time - the performers were excellent and put so much energy into the room. Would definitely recommend 😍
The show was great! Didn t see our guide though (we arrived a few mins after the meeting time), but the tickets were waiting for us at the entrance of the theatre. The meeting point is, in fact, in the theatre lobby.
everything was excellent and can't think of anything bad to say
The show was absolutely amazing!! The amount of talent and energy on stage was incredible to watch. I highly recommend watching at least one show while you are in Kyoto!!
This was such a great experience for my teenaged granddaughters and me! I was worried that the drumming would be too loud, but the bass was felt in the body more than being a burden on the ears. We loved the expertise of the performers and enjoyed the portion of the show when they had audience participation. The theater itself is lovely, so it made for a special evening. One of my granddaughters purchased a t-shirt as a memento, and she has been enjoying telling others about her experience since returning to the States. Thanks for an excellent show!
Abaolutely loved it. If i had known the premium experience tickets were available ahead of time would have booked it for the experience. Our kids still could pay the fee and play the drums with the performers - great experience
Tachi is nice guide and explained everything and he is open to any questions
