This is a 2-hour experience in Kyoto. It is run by GLOBA Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.

the samurai museum tour was great (saying this as someone who normally hates guided tours) :) the ninja class was also fun but maybe a little too catered towards children. i would recommend this for families but maybe not for adults. the staff at both spots was amazing, very kind and helpful

This was a highlight of our trip. Dressing up and learning Ninja techniques. Our personal Ninja Sensei was informative, friendly, fun and accommodating. The kids and us parents loved it. Would highly recommend this experience.

family of 3 and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tao was a fantastic tour guide and did great with such a large group! he was knowledgeable and friendly. the ninja experience was great fun! itvwas fun yo rnjoy putting on replica armour and have ourvohotos taken. My only suggestion would be to stagger the tours a little as although after the tour guide session you could go back in and race your time, other sessions were running so yiu could feel a bit intrusive. the tour guides were very friendly though.

An amazing samurai experience! Fun, authentic, and beautifully organized. We learned so much about samurai culture and had a great time trying it ourselves. A memorable experience, especially for my 10year old child.
