Full description
This is a 1-hour experience in Kyoto. It is run by Traveling Tokyo, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.
The price covers Kintsugi workshop, All necessary materials and tools and Guidance from an instructor. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Bunon! She was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming from the very beginning. She explained everything in an interesting and engaging way, and you can really feel her passion and knowledge. The whole experience had a relaxed and personal atmosphere, which made it even more special. We learned a lot, had a great time, and felt very comfortable throughout. Thank you so much, Bunon, for your time, positive energy, and for making this such a memorable part of our stay in Kyoto. Greetings from Poland! π΅π±π―π΅

This workshop was so interesting, fun, and Cerise was the best guide ever! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Such a great way to spend some time after sightseeing all day. And best of all I have a special little treasure that will always remind me of my time in Kyoto. Thank you!!

This Kintsugi workshop was a great experience. The whole atmosphere was very calm, relaxing, and truly unique. Our host, Bunon, was absolutely wonderful β she was so nice, patient, and guided us perfectly through the entire process. It wasn't crowded, and we felt well taken care of. The entire activity was about an hour long. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Kyoto!
