This is a 3-hour experience in Kyoto. It is run by MINAMIZA, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.

La descripción de la función. La primera parte es una demostración instructiva para quienes vimos Kabuki por primera vez en cuanto a vestuario, instrumentos y maquillaje y la segunda parte es un sketch ya propiamente de este maravilloso arte.

The Kabuki Show was a delight.I enjoyed it so much and I’m glad they provided English audio which made it exciting! This was my 3rd time watching Kabuki at this theater!!

Main actor and whole stage changing was great experience. It was like 3d theater or smth like that 👍. English translation could be better, like subtitles on screen with 1:1 translation what actors were saying. Good that phone provided by theater allows Bluetooth to connect your headset. Thank you once again 😊

I feally enjoyed the show. It was so interesting to hear about the origins of Kabuki and it's changes through time! And the Kabuki presentations at the end was mesmerising! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about Kabuki.

The first part is explaining about the history and various characters and instruments used for it, wirh some people picked out of the audience to Participate, in the pause, there are various antique music instruments to interact with as a kimono try on, and the woodblock sound lesson.second part is a small scene of one of the plays. The part is quite bizarre and if its good that we had the explanation beforehand. I really enjoyed it

I can't give less than 5 stars because you get what you paid for, and the best version of it. BUT, this might not be for you. if you don't understand Japanese and even if you do this is kinda boring and super long. Just be mindful.

The dance was great, but there were no enough audio devices for English. So we didnt understand the whole 1st part - Kabuki lecture in Japanese which is disapppointing.

It was a great experience! I was able to learn a lot about Kabuki theater. The only issue was that I wish I would have been informed beforehand that the entire 1.5 hours was not dedicated to a kabuki performance. The first 30 minutes-1 hour was a historical overview of kabuki along with a makeup demonstration and PowerPoint presentation. It was very informative and interesting, so I didn’t mind it. However, I wish I would have been informed of this in advance.
