Full description
This is a 10-hour experience in Nara, built around Nara Park, Tōdai-ji and Fushimi Inari Taisha. It is run by Japan Vision Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, the deity of rice and business, and its thousand-plus vermilion torii gates, each donated by a company or family, run in tunnels up the 233-metre Mount Inari behind the main hall. The full loop to the summit is about four kilometres and two hours; most visitors turn back at the Yotsutsuji viewpoint halfway. It is open 24 hours and free, which makes it the one big Kyoto sight you can do at dawn or after dark, when the gates are empty and lit. By nine in the morning the lower tunnels are a slow queue. The fox statues carry keys to the rice granary in their mouths.
The price covers bilingual guide, Comfortable vehicle with A/C, Round-trip transfers to and from the meet up location and All taxes. It does not cover Admission to Todai-ji Temple & Byodo-in Temple, Meals and beverages and Other personal expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Japan Vision Tour sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Japan Vision Tour before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

I know it is not possible to extend each visit, they are so brief, but as I said I understand, so I'm very happy with the experience, in a great measure for the efforts of our guide Scarlett, she was professional and with a great attitude, thank you Scarlett! from 🇲🇽 (#4 🙂)
This trip was wonderful. visiting Nara for deers , uji for matcha street . In Uji either you can relax by river side having your favourite matcha flavoured food or you can visit the phoenix temple . CC was our guide and updated us through whats app regarding meeting point , departure time etc . overall i recommend this trip for covering the old capitals of japan.
Sarah was lovely, she provided lots of information about the places we were going to visit, I had a great time.
We had a great experience on the tour. Enjoyed everything in the itinerary and tour guide Clytie was very informative. Would recommend!
All is very good, except car was parked quite far.
Hugo was wonderful. He was very funny and engaging. We enjoyed the tour . Good job Hugo!!!!
The Nara deers nipped me many times for bisquits 😂. But the whole trip was very funny
Charles was great, very informative and a great sense of humour. Just the right amount of time at each stop. I wanted to give Charles a tip but was very aware of causing either offence or confusion and when I got off the bus he was in deep conversation with other. Please find a way for those of us who want to tip to be able to do. it discreetly. Sorry Charles
We had an amazing experience on this day trip covering Kyoto, Nara, and Uji! The itinerary was well-organized, and we got to see so many beautiful and historical spots, from the adorable deer at Nara Park to the breathtaking Fushimi Inari Shrine and serene Uji River. Highly recommended
We visited Nara, Uji, and Fushimi Inari, and the whole trip was smooth and comfortable from start to finish.
Our guide Cicy was super fun and very well organized. The bus ride was smooth as well. The only issue was that I felt the trip was a bit too rushed. I’d personally definitely add 30 minutes to every stop.
