This is a 3-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by Japan Exploration Tours JIN, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

Kenji was a perfect guide in Osaka. He took us to spots we would have never found otherwise, and treated us to some amazing food choices. it was great!! food was delicious (tacoyaki, sushi, beef grill, remen) and the opportunity to know and walk around an area that maybe wouldn't look to go on my own. had great time!

We thought our guide was good. However, the whole experience felt a bit disjointed and finished abruptly with no dessert. We thought it was not good value for the money, because the experience was expensive but we only received two small octopus balls, 4 pieces of sushi, 4 small pieces of meat and a bowl of ramen. To be fair they did give us two drinks. If there were more stops, food and a dessert the experience could be much better.
