This is a 3-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by Osaka Food Tours, Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

Brilliant food tour! We had 2 guides (Taka and Kai) who were both very knowledgeable and friendly! We all really enjoyed our night, good variety in foods and portion sizes were great! Would highly recommend this tour when visiting Osaka

Our tour guide Bernie was next level great, on our trip to Japan we have done a few tours now via this site. Bernie was exceptional, his local knowledge, language skills and food and beveridge knowledge was great, e brought a group of people of different ages and nationalities together to have a great time. I highly recommend this tour bland Bernie for your guide.

Our tour was excellent filled with lots of local insight. The food on offer was a great selection of local specialties. Our guide was open and friendly and happy to answer any questions. Would highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip to set you up for success with the best places to go, how to order and some local phrases.
