This is a 2-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by City Unscripted, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

My tour guide took me on a journey as if it were a right of passage to the people of Osaka. I loved every moment of it.
Brice was excellent and very efficient with time. We walked around Osaka and hit many tourists spots but also took shortcuts and saw places “off the beaten path” I recommend this to anyone specially on a short stay in Osaka.
Airi was a great guide. We were allowed to see the most beautiful side of Kyoto, with realy beautiful hidden temples and shrines off the tourist routes. And all that without hurry. Definitely recommended!
We connected with our guide just before the tour but our guide was able to adjust our itinerary to hit the highlights and pass on some we wanted to see ourselves.
The guide was very nice and kind. however we did not visit the historical parts so I would suggest to ask to the guide in advance if this is what you would like to do in osaka. if not the market could be also done without a guide in my opinion.
