Full description
This is a 1-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by Japanese Craft Workshop, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.
The price covers Hands-on Kintsugi workshop, Step-by-step guidance from instructor, Creation of a unique Kintsugi piece and Small plates. It does not cover Tips, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Japanese Craft Workshop sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Japanese Craft Workshop before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Really lovely, wholesome experience. Perfect for a rainy afternoon in Osaka. Haru was super friendly and helped us through each stage. Great vibes all round. Would recommend
We had a great time at this experience, Haru was extremely helpful and kind, we created a lovely take home souvenir at such a great price. The plate included was lovely, and the end result was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this and would even do it again to create my own set.
Momo was an amazing guide through both the kintsugi and the sticks production process. She explained everything thoroughly and was super patient. We loved the experience, recommend to anyone looking for basics in kintsugi.
Good little workshop, great English spoken too. Would recommend!
It was really fun and instructive!
