Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

Aki was an amazing tour guide! She walked us through the market where we tried the best tuna sashimi and Kobe beef stick I have ever tasted! We also tried a fish cake, takoyaki, and white peach mochi ball!

The tour was excellent and our guide Beniot was fantastic. He gave us incredible suggestions on what to eat and helped with ordering and translating making the whole experience a breeze. He also covered the fascinating history of the market and even taught us some helpful phrases in Japanese. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a trip to Kuromon market, or the Namba/Doutonbori/Shinsaibashi area in general.

Hiro did an awesome job, and even went out of his way to show me areas I was interested in. However, I think he wasn't use to just guiding one person, but I'm not a great conversationalst so that's probably on me.
