Full description
This is a 1-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by DesignPocket, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.
The price covers Hands-on sushi food replica workshop, Materials for creating sushi replicas, Guidance from Japanese food replica artisans, Finished sushi keychain and magnet to take home and 1 Capsule Toy token for a lucky draw. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
DesignPocket sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with DesignPocket before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
