I loved this workshop on the art of kintsugi. The 3 hours went so quickly as you become absorbed in the processes involved in repairing your own piece of china. Our teachers were amazing - so knowledgeable and supportive. You end up with something beautiful you have repaired to take home. I would definitely recommend this experience.
This was such a lovely experience! We got to learn the history and learn the techniques from a master. The master, Tomoko, and her assistants were so kind, funny, and helpful! And at the end you get to take home a genuinely beautiful, meaningful souvenir. This was definitely worth it!
The activity was fantastic. The guide was very friendly and interested in each individual person. The workshop was very interesting and well illustrated.
What a fun and educational experience! We had a wonderful time learning the history of kintsugi and making a beautiful souvenir in the process! The workshop was thoroughly enjoyable and Haru and Tomoko were friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining! Highly recommended!
Looooved this activity! It was a super cool experience. Everybody was helpful and friendly. There is also a small bakery and shop to purchase hand crafted pottery and reworked textiles. I highly recommend doing this activity to not only have a fun experience but to also bring home a souvenir.
Great historical context and step by step instruction for the class of nine people. English language skills were limited but she made good use of phone translation app. I came with a personally treasured broken bowl and Tomoko san helped me restore it beautifully. A true keepsake and satisfying experience.
Very nice workshop! The guide went through all the steps and photos were taken along the way that could be downloaded. A perfect souvenir.
Awesome activity!!! Recommending it to everyone traveling with teens who are looking for activities that are not theme parks. The teacher, Tomoko, and her assistants, Nene and Haru, made the experience truly enjoyable. It also teaches a valuable lesson of “beauty in the imperfections”. We love it! Thank you!!!
Wonderful. Our teacher was amazing and we had a really good time. Highly recommended!
I really liked the course! It was really fun that we got to be part of the whole process and that we got to take the repaired porcelain home with us. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The level of English was quite low, but they handled it well with mobile translation and by showing things. I would have liked to spend more time talking about art forms / the handicrafts.
