This is a 3-hour experience in Osaka, built around Osaka Castle, Train and Sennichimae. It is run by JAPANIFY TOURS, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

Teri entertained US with Stories, History, facts and funny anecdotes while she showed us the Castle grounds, Dotonburi and the "Running man". We had a great timey being able to ASK every Sort of question while learning so much about Yokai, Ghosts, Burialgrounds and japanese history. Teri made sure we were well hydrated and catered the tour to our preferences. From the best viewing-point of the Castle to the tiny street in Dotonburi where history ist preserved or you can find the oldest shrine in the city: we loved every Minute! Thank you for an all-around great time!

We loved the Osaka Ghost and Cultural Tour. Our guide, Teri, was fun, knowledgeable and genuinely interesting, and gave us a real local’s insight into Japan’s cultural past and present. We learnt so much along the way, and it was a fascinating way to see a different side of Osaka. And yes, there were definitely moments that made us jump — and a few that sent a genuine chill down the spine! But what made the tour particularly memorable was the combination of ghost stories, history and culture. It entertained us, surprised us and opened our minds. Highly recommended.

This was a great tour walking around Osaka Castle, getting some spooks and some history along the way. We would recommend it for a nice way to see Osaka in a different light.
