Full description

This is a 1-hour experience in Osaka, built around Shinsekai, Kuromon Market and Namba Yasaka Shrine. It is run by Travel Japan Together, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

The price covers Private tour with a local English-speaking guide, Customizable itinerary designed around your interests, recommendations for food, Private vehicle and Optional meet-up at your accommodation. It does not cover Food and drinks, Any entrance fees, Transportation fee and Host's lunch and entrance ticket, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Travel Japan Together sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Travel Japan Together before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Kosuke did a great job, we don't walk fast so he took his time and made sure we didn't miss anything. Learned somethings about the subways which will be helpful. Good value, highly recommend Larry & Janet

We met our guide, Kosuke, at our hotel and took the train to our first stop, Osaka Castle (entry not included in the tour price). Kosuke was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Japan. The castle was amazing, and despite the crowds, he managed to show us around the entire place and share lots of interesting information. We then visited a Hokoku Shrine, where Kosuke explained the etiquette when entering the shrine. It was fascinating to learn about the traditions and customs. Next, we headed to Kuromon Market for delicious and authentic Takoyaki. From there, we made our way to the bustl

The company was very accommodating with our last-minute bookings (we made three) and requests. Communication via WhatsApp was extremely quick and easy. Our tour guide in Osaka knew the city very well, was extremely patient and polite, and without rushing us even once, we managed to see all the planned spots. Kosuke guided us smoothly from one place to another and even purchased entry tickets with his app so we could skip the lines—something we greatly appreciated given the high temperatures. Our teenagers also enjoyed chatting with him. On the other hand, I would have appreciated more in-depth

The Osaka tour was a fantastic way to explore the city's highlights in a short amount of time. We started with Osaka Castle, where the rich history and stunning architecture immediately drew us in. The panoramic views from the top were breathtaking! Next, we visited Dotonbori, the lively heart of Osaka, famous for its neon lights and street food. We tasted some local favorites like takoyaki and okonomiyaki, which were absolutely delicious. Walking along the canal and seeing the iconic Glico sign was a memorable experience. The tour was well-organized, and our guide shared fascinating insights
