Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Osaka. It is run by yuki Japanese cooking class, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.
The price covers Fresh ingredients and traditional seasonings and Instruction by well-trained chef clearly for cooking. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

We had such an amazing cooking class with Yuki! She is incredibly kind, friendly, and so much fun to spend time with. She explained everything clearly and made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, and we learned so many useful tips along the way. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for a fun, authentic, and memorable experience. Thank you, Yuki!
Yuki was very friendly, the cooking class was very informative and in a cozy environment. We were able to make so many different dishes which we could eat together at the end of the course. Very much recommended!😊
Yuki was great! The food was amazing and she had a lot of good tips for both cooking and for Osaka. We are so ready for a sushi party with friends when we’re home
Very good experience, learned a lot both about cooking and local slice of life things.
It was very personal. We were only 4 and we could even take our baby with us. The host was very friendly and explained everything very well. And of course it was tasty.
We had an amazing time. Yuki was a fantastic host who picked us up from the train station and showed us to her apartment. she told us about her life and about her passion for cooking traditional Japanese cuisine. she used the freshest ingredients and showed and helped us create x3 styles of sushi, dashi broth, miso soup and omelette as well as telling us insider tips and tricks which we will take home! We purchased her cook book and cannot wait to try at home. Thank you so much for a lovey time Yuki! Would highly recommend
The course with Yuki was amazing! She taught us step by step how to make sushi and miso soup and sent us the receipts afterwards so that we can cook them at home. I forgot to tell her in advance that I’m a vegetarian, but luckily that wasn’t a problem for her. She also provided us with great insider tips about Japanese cooking and Osaka.
We really enjoyed our cooking class experience, and Yuki was a fantastic host. The miso soup and sushi we made was the best we had in Japan! We would highly recommend this activity for anyone who wants to learn more about Japanese food and cooking.
Yuki was an amazing hostess and chef. We had so much fun making our sushi and miso soup, it turned out delicious. She will send you the recipes so you can make it when you get back home too! I highly recommend this activity if you are in Osaka. It was a nice relaxing experience after running around all day seeing the sights.
We had a fantastic afternoon with lots of interesting insights. We already had a bit experience, but gained new knowledge throughout all steps. She showed us how to actually treat/prepare the rice properly in a traditional pot. We did a huge variety of dishes and also experienced the ‚basics‘, e.g. of making the wasabi paste or dashi broth. We took our baby to the class (I asked beforehand about this) and she supported in the best possible way to make it a great experience for all of us. Finally, even if the place of action is not in the city center it is super easy to reach. Half an hour with
It was a delicious pleasure to get Japanese kitchen insights from Yuki. I had the privilege to be the only guest. Highly recommended activity!!
Very good experience, worth every penny and every minute!
