This is a 4-hour experience in Osaka, built around Osaka Castle, Toyokuni Shrine and Subway / metro. It is run by Maroventure, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Osaka is Japan's kitchen: the city that invented takoyaki, okonomiyaki and kushikatsu, and Dotonbori's canal of neon signs is where it eats them. Osaka Castle is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of Hideyoshi's fortress with a museum inside and a moat and park worth an hour; Kuromon market is the food market; Shinsekai is the retro district under Tsutenkaku tower; Umeda Sky Building has the open-air observatory. Osaka is the base for day trips to Nara, Kobe, Himeji and Koyasan, all under an hour and a half. The city is louder and cheaper than Kyoto and its people are known for it.

The tour was great! Ryoko was a wonderful guide! She showed us the city with her local knowledge and personal information. We definitely learned a lot of things about Japan and Osaka during the tour. Also she was very friendly, my daughter really liked her. Highly recommend this tour!

Euihon was a very relaxed, helpful and friendly guide . He never rushed us and allowed extra time at places we found interesting. We all enjoyed the day and his company. He was thoughtful and helpful to give us great travel help with trains to get us to our next location we were doing without guides.
