Full description
This is a 8-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Train, Hiroshima Station and Bus/coach. It is run by H.I.S. Co Ltd(TIC), an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.
The price covers Round-trip Shinkansen ticket from Kyoto or Osaka, Round-trip transportation by air-conditioned bus, Entry ticket to Itsukushima Shrine, Entry ticket to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Round-trip Miyajima ferry ride. It does not cover Hotel pickup and drop-off and Round-trip Shinkansen ticket [From Hiroshima plan], so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
H.I.S. Co Ltd(TIC) sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with H.I.S. Co Ltd(TIC) before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Well organised and great guide .. A beautiful part of Japan stained with history that was great to reflect on history. Recommend
Our Tour Guide, Ms Azusa, shared with us her expertise and knowledge in the subject and beyond. At times, she also helped us to enjoy the tour more with humor. She is able to manage a large group of participants through crowded places and on schedule. The group assistant was helpful to take memorable pics for us. The tour fee is kind of pricy but we truly learn alot.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing guided tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima! 🇯🇵 Our guides, Chikako and Naoko, were incredibly helpful, sweet, and thoughtful throughout the entire day. They always made sure we knew where to go and kept track of everyone, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of. They shared fascinating information about everything we visited, gave us clear instructions about meeting points and times, and even recommended some lovely souvenirs to buy. We also got to taste some delicious okonomiyaki, which made the experience even more memorable. 🥢 Definitely recommend this tour! A w
the trip was excellent and was made better by our excellent tou guide sakura. she was very knowledgable and nothing was to much trouble. she made the trip extra enjoyable
It was a nice experience, too bad we didnt stay more on the island when there was alot of time because later we had to wait for the train for 1 hour. The okonomiyaki was excelent! Kane was an amazing guide!
Our tour lady and driver were amazing and visiting Hiroshima was very moving experience. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum gave us the opportunity to learn more about the atomic bomb, the events surrounding it, and the incredible impact it had on so many lives. It was emotional at times, but also incredibly educational and gave us a much deeper understanding of the history. We also visited Miyajima Island and saw the beautiful Itsukushima Shrine and its famous floating torii gate. Hiroshima and Miyajima are definitely places we will never forget and would highly recommend visiting to anyone
Sobering yet enjoyable visit to Hiroshima and Miyajima island. Hats off to our guide, Kane, who did well to manage such a diverse and large group. He was very knowledgeable and shared useful information about the sites that we visited. The representative who met us at Shin Osaka did an excellent job guiding us through the station although a little more precision (just outside the Shinkansen turnstiles) as to exactly where Kane and his team would meet us In Hiroshima would have saved the group a little anxiety looking for the “north “ exit which was not really marked. We had sufficient time at
I really enjoyed the excursions; the planning was straightforward, and the instructions were uncomplicated to follow. The guides throughout the trip were friendly and informative; they were also clear in their instructions. They led at a good pace for all those on the trip and allowed time for questions and discussion. I would recommend this trip; it was very thought-provoking, and the trip to Miyajima a lovely end to the day.
A full day but well paced, our guide was very good.
Azusa and her team from HIS made this day very special. The day was planned out great. Food was good, although okinomiyaki is nicer really fresh. Azusa is a really great entertainer and host. Highly recommend
It is a long day, coming from Kyoto, but the pace is doable. We wished to have more time at Miyajima to relax a bit more, since we got less than 2 hours there. I just had time to a goshuin at the shrine and stop at the brewery. I wished we got more information at the Hiroshima peace park, but I understand that it may become a history lesson for some if too many facts are given. The guide was so kind, so patient and took care of everyone. I traveled with pre-teens and a a teenager and they were engaged throughout the activity, and I'm glad to have visited Hiroshima, it is a humbling experience.
