Neben einem Elefanten in thailändischer Tracht zu stehen, ergibt Bilder, die nichts mit einem Handy-Schnappschuss in Shorts zu tun haben, und das Schutzgebiet ist dafür eingerichtet: Das Licht, der Hintergrund und die Tiere sind alle an die Routine gewöhnt.

Sie füttern die Herde von Hand. Elefantenfutter hier sind Bananen und Zuckerrohr, und ein erwachsener asiatischer Elefant verarbeitet etwa 150 Kilogramm Pflanzenmaterial pro Tag, was Ihr Verständnis davon neu ordnet, was es bedeutet, einen zu halten.

Excellent tour but it felt very rushed. Maybe they should allow one hour at the center and explain more about the elephants.

Brilliant experience & so ethical. All elephants are rescues and have free roam behind the fence. Only allowed to briefly touch & feed. No riding or washing. Would definitely recommend!!

a great experience to capture memories in Thai attire. a suggestion would be for them to keep a professional photographer and an elephant guide to give some info about the sweet creatures. They also give you one refreshing beverage choice of a cup of coffee or juice.

We just visited Krabi Elephant Shelter and it was a truly wonderful experience. They dressed us in traditional Thai clothing, taught us how to prepare food for the elephants, and also helped us take some great photos. Afterwards, we got to feed the elephants ourselves. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, and it’s clear that the animals are well looked after. The whole experience was super interesting, very enjoyable, and also great value for money. Highly recommended!

We got to see and feed the elephants. Learn a bit of their stories and take pictures with them. All while wearing the beautiful Thai trafitional clothes ❤️ Amazing experience overall and all very ethical. The elephants seemed happy and at ease.
