Damnoen Saduak, 100 Kilometer südwestlich von Bangkok, ist der schwimmende Markt der Postkarten: Boote voller Obst und Nudeln auf einem Kanal, der in den 1860er-Jahren gegraben wurde, um 7:00 Uhr in Betrieb und um 11:00 Uhr vorbei, weshalb die Touren um 6:30 Uhr aus der Stadt fahren. Amphawa in der Nähe läuft von Freitag bis Sonntag nachmittags und abends und ist der, den die Bewohner Bangkoks vorziehen, mit Bootsfahrten zu den Glühwürmchen nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit. Taling Chan und Khlong Lat Mayom sind kleine Wochenendmärkte innerhalb der Stadt, bei denen es ums Essen geht.

A really excellent tour! We were given enough time to explore but didn’t feel rushed. It was very much at our own pace which was appreciated. Our guide was punctual, patient, and knowledgeable. The transport from place to place in our own car was really convenient. I’d recommend this tour to anyone. We had a blast.

Unser Tourguide Sam war richtig lustig und hat uns viele Dinge zu den einzelnen Sehenswürdigkeiten erzählt, aber auch ansonsten wusste er viele, informative Randnotizen anzubringen.
