Quatre-vingt-dix minutes à nourrir des éléphants dans un sanctuaire accessible en bateau depuis la jetée d'Ao Nam Mao.
Le transfert fait partie de ce qui en fait l'intérêt. Le sanctuaire se trouve loin de la bande d'Ao Nang, et la traversée depuis Ao Nam Mao est ce qui le maintient à l'écart, dans le calme plutôt qu'au bord de la route touristique.
Vous préparez la nourriture et la donnez vous-même. La nourriture des éléphants ici est constituée de bananes, de canne à sucre et de boules de riz et de tamarin roulées à la main, et un éléphant d'Asie adulte en engloutit environ 150 kilogrammes par jour, ce qui bouscule l'idée qu'on a de ce qu'implique d'en élever un. Le reste du temps se passe près des animaux tandis qu'ils font des choses d'éléphants ordinaires.
Pas de monte, pas de chaînes pendant le programme, pas de spectacles. Les éléphants ici viennent du travail d'abattage et de trekking, et les gardiens qui s'en occupent quotidiennement animent la séance.
Quatre-vingt-dix minutes est une durée confortable pour cela. Vous restez sec, vous n'avez pas besoin de vous changer, et cela fonctionne avec des enfants qui perdraient intérêt dans un programme d'une demi-journée.
Des collations, des fruits de saison, du jus, du café, du thé et de l'eau potable sont servis, et la nourriture pour éléphants est fournie, donc il n'y a rien à acheter sur place.

my guide had a thorough knowledge of the elephants and why the sanctuary exists. They say everydays a schoolday and it certainly was today having learned of some amazing facts about these wonderful animals.

we got picked up on time, staff were lovely we had our 16 month old baby with us and they kept her entertained so I could enjoy the experience. food was provided and refreshments which was good, great value for money. elephants were beautiful and seemed well cared for was great to make the food and feed them. definitely recommend.

It was great. They are punctual and the total time of the tour is good. The guide explains very well. They gave us snacks, drinks and fruits at the beginning and the end, plus mango sticky rice at the end. They take care very well of the elephants and the people. And last but not least, the elephants are amazing.
As soon as we arrived it felt calm. The elephants were well cared for with their care takers. All of the staff were so gentle and kind, they explained everything we needed to know about the elephants and how we could meet them, it was truly a one of a kind experience and a definite must! The elephants themself were gentle giants and very peaceful, thank you.
