Les cours de cuisine thaïe suivent un schéma qui fonctionne : une visite au marché pour acheter galanga, citronnelle, combava et basilic sacré, le professeur expliquant à quoi sert chaque ingrédient, puis quatre ou cinq plats cuisinés un par un à des postes individuels, en général une pâte de curry pilée à partir de rien, un sauté, une soupe et un dessert, mangés au fur et à mesure. Les cours de Chiang Mai, dans des fermes biologiques hors de la ville, sont les plus détendus ; ceux de Bangkok, dans d'anciennes maisons de commerce, les plus soignés ; ceux de Phuket ajoutent souvent les fruits de mer. Les versions végétariennes et véganes sont la norme, et un cours est le moyen le plus rapide de comprendre pourquoi la cuisine thaïe a ce goût-là.

Penny was hilarious and so cute. She made us laugh and was very engaging. Highly recommend
Our guide Penny was very fun, engaging, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She broke down the instructions for cooking in a way that made it easy to think about (which same ingredients and seasonings are used in most dishes). She followed up with photos and recipes, and made sure we knew she’s available for questions anytime after class. Transportation was provided and added to the enjoyment of this wonderful excursion. Highly recommend.
Penny was SO MUCH FUN! She made cooking enjoyable even for my husband who doesn’t like cooking. It was our favourite activity we’ve done in Thailand. We would definitely do it again if we return!
Penny was absolutely amazing!! What a fantastic activity and Penny was an excellent teacher! Penny guided us through everything so well & she was very funny throughout! The food was 10/10 & Penny even picked us up herself and dropped us off. Absolute legend and deffo worth it! Even get a cookbook PDF at the end!
We had the best time learning how to cook Thai dishes. Lots of different choices and you don’t all have to agree the same dishes, which was something I was worried about before hand that I wouldn’t be able to make the dishes I wanted to. It was a nice small group and penny was really funny and really engaging!
An absolute must do when in Krabi!!!! Penny is amazing - so much fun and an awesome teacher. The food was easy and delicious and no one left hungry. There are other cooking classes, but only one Penny. This is the class to book.
our guide Penny was very funny and educational. She gave great advice for beginners trying to make Thai food. They were very prepared with portions ready and quick to help when you needed it. Couldn't have asked for a better cooking class. Only con was that there was too much food for me to eat!
Great transport to and from, and really fun class. cooked a lot of delicious food, mango sticky rice and green curry was the best I've had so far in Thailand. learnt lots to take away with us back home and we will be cooking more at home. Host made it super fun, thanks all!

We had so much fun cooking with Penny! She’s a great teacher and it was very easy to follow all the instructions. We didn’t have any issues making all the dishes vegan and vegetarian. highly recommend, you’ll have a blast and you’ll eat some great food 😊
Really enjoyed the activity. It was fun and learned a lot about ingredients and what to use for certain dishes. Phenie was really sweet and funny. We totally recommend it.
