Une demi-heure à nourrir des éléphants en costume thaïlandais traditionnel, ce qui transforme la visite en photos qu'on garde réellement.

Le costume est fourni et c'est la raison pour laquelle la plupart des gens choisissent cette version plutôt que le programme de nourrissage simple. Se tenir aux côtés d'un éléphant en costume thaïlandais produit des photos qui ne ressemblent en rien à un cliché de téléphone en short, et le sanctuaire est organisé pour cela : la lumière, l'arrière-plan et les animaux sont tous habitués à la routine.

Vous nourrissez le troupeau à la main. La nourriture pour éléphants ici est constituée de bananes et de canne à sucre, et un éléphant d'Asie adulte consomme environ 150 kilogrammes de matière végétale par jour, ce qui bouscule l'idée qu'on a de ce qu'implique d'en élever un.

Pas de monte, pas de chaînes pendant le programme, pas de spectacles. Les éléphants viennent du travail d'abattage et de monte, et vivent sur les terres que le sanctuaire leur réserve.

Trente minutes sur un terrain sec est la durée appropriée pour cela. Vous restez propre, le costume reste propre, et cela s'insère avant ou après une excursion en bateau sans prendre la journée.

Une note pratique : apportez votre propre maquillage si vous en voulez, car le costume est fourni mais pas la mise en beauté.

Le transfert d'hôtel depuis Ao Nang, Klong Muang et Nopparat Thara est compris, ainsi que la nourriture pour éléphants et le costume.

Excellent tour but it felt very rushed. Maybe they should allow one hour at the center and explain more about the elephants.

Brilliant experience & so ethical. All elephants are rescues and have free roam behind the fence. Only allowed to briefly touch & feed. No riding or washing. Would definitely recommend!!

a great experience to capture memories in Thai attire. a suggestion would be for them to keep a professional photographer and an elephant guide to give some info about the sweet creatures. They also give you one refreshing beverage choice of a cup of coffee or juice.

We just visited Krabi Elephant Shelter and it was a truly wonderful experience. They dressed us in traditional Thai clothing, taught us how to prepare food for the elephants, and also helped us take some great photos. Afterwards, we got to feed the elephants ourselves. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, and it’s clear that the animals are well looked after. The whole experience was super interesting, very enjoyable, and also great value for money. Highly recommended!

We got to see and feed the elephants. Learn a bit of their stories and take pictures with them. All while wearing the beautiful Thai trafitional clothes ❤️ Amazing experience overall and all very ethical. The elephants seemed happy and at ease.
