Les spectacles de feu en bord de plage sont devenus l'un des grands rendez-vous du soir à Pattaya, et le DAM Restaurant accueille l'une des représentations les plus connues, directement sur le sable. Cette formule associe le spectacle à un vrai dîner assis : vous avez des places réservées sur banquettes de bambou face à l'eau, assez près pour sentir la chaleur des flammes pendant que les artistes font tourner, jonglent et crachent le feu devant la mer qui s'assombrit.
Le dîner vient d'abord, choisi parmi une sélection de menus thaïs, servi tandis que le soleil descend et que la plage bascule en mode soirée. Les banquettes de bambou sont basses et décontractées : sable sous les pieds, brise de mer, le genre d'installation qui tient nettement de la plage thaïe plutôt que du restaurant d'hôtel. Puis, quand la nuit tombe complètement, la troupe de feu s'empare de la bande de sable devant vous avec un numéro chorégraphié de bâtons tournoyants, de poï enflammés et de souffleurs de feu, sur fond de musique.
C'est une soirée facile et pleine d'atmosphère, qui fonctionne aussi bien pour un tête-à-tête, une sortie en famille ou une première soirée à Pattaya pour découvrir la culture de plage de la ville. Aucun transport n'est compris, mais le restaurant se trouve sur le front de mer principal et se rejoint facilement depuis n'importe où en ville.

Programme détaillé
Plan to arrive around sunset, when the beachfront is at its best — staff will show you to your reserved bamboo seats set directly on the sand, facing the water. Dinner is served first: a choice of Thai menu options brought out at a relaxed pace while the sky changes color and the beach lights come on. There's no rush; the seating is yours for the evening.
Once darkness settles, the fire performers take position on the sand just in front of the dining area. The show runs around 45 minutes and builds steadily — spinning fire staffs, flaming poi arcing against the black sea, and fire-breathing finales that draw gasps from the whole beach. Afterwards you're welcome to stay on for drinks or a stroll along the shore before making your own way back.

Such a lovely way to spend an evening. Our bamboo seats were right on the sand facing the water, dinner came out as the sun was setting, and then the fire show started once it was properly dark. The performers are seriously skilled — close enough that you feel the heat.
Simple concept, brilliantly executed. Good Thai food, feet in the sand, waves a few metres away and then an hour of fire spinning under the stars. Far more atmospheric than a restaurant on the strip. Reserved seating meant we had a great view without arriving early.
Really enjoyed the show, which was genuinely impressive. Food was tasty though the menu choice is limited to set options, so check what's included when booking. Beachfront setting is unbeatable for the price and it made for a memorable last night in Pattaya.
The fire performance was better than shows I've paid three times as much for elsewhere. Sitting on bamboo mats with the sea behind the performers makes all the difference. Staff were friendly and topped up drinks quickly. Great value evening.
Fun and atmospheric. Be aware it's a beach setting so it can get breezy and a bit sandy, and the show starts later than you might expect. Once it began though it was captivating. Nice change from the noise of Walking Street.
Took my wife for our anniversary and it worked perfectly. Dinner on the sand, the sunset, then flames spinning against a black sea. The staff moved us to a slightly better angle when we asked. Romantic without being expensive.
A very enjoyable evening. The seating is casual and low, right on the beach, which felt authentic rather than touristy. Thai dishes were flavourful and the fire dancers were extremely good, especially the finale. Easy to find and well organised.
